What's wrong with petting gaijin? Come on, you know you have 3,000 yen burning a hole in your pocket...

"Deserves" got nothing to do with itI needed a portable Mac (now it makes 3 Apple machines in my collection) so I can continue with 2-machine debugging (important for us kernel programmers), retire my older desktop to the server room with Mac OS X Server (WebObjects -- self-taught), and have a portable machine when I visit customer sites... the choice I faced was a PowerBook or an iBook and a one-year wedding anniversary gift for my wife...

Get ready for sweaty, socially inept Japanese people asking you, "What's your hobby?????" while stuffing their faces with cheap, convenience store sushi. Now THAT's a great party. :crazy3:

Nah, it's called self-justification for blowing $1,400 on an underpowered Mac laptop. 8O

I believe there's a theory of groups where the number of participants are inversely proportional to the quality of the conversation. :?

I think the quote is "the IQ of a mob is the sqrt of the total group" :?

Yeees, but then one would have to enter into a debate on the subjectivity of quality.
