It sucks having to seperate out your garbage.... The other day I through out some non-separated garbage (in true gaijin style) and when I arrived home that night there was a sack of trash in front of my door and a note from the kanri-nin in my apartment building warning me to separate my garbage.
Next time I won`t throw out any receipts with my name on them....

Tales of the Fucked Gaijin continues...
But seriously, I think the key is not to produce any garbage in the first place. Always eat out and never bring anything home.
If you accidentally wind up with some garbage in your place, never throw it away in your own building. Always walk it a couple blocks down the street and throw it in your neighbor's garbage pile.

I try to follow the garbage separation rules, but what do you do with all the ambiguous shiot? I used to throw out bento boxes with the burnable trash, but now it goes out with the nonburnable. And what about batteries--nonburnable or recyclable? How about plastic hangers--is that kind of plastic recyclable or not? When in doubt, it all goes to the unburnable pile, I guess.

Speaking of trash and gaijin, trashy gaijin naturally come to mind... What do you suppose the gaijin debris that you see running around Shibuya, Roppongi, etc. are actually doing in Tokyo? It`s hard to imagine these guys having serious jobs (or any kind of job) with the way they look... Loads more of them around these days, too.

Sure they have a job: either a) giving good gaijin a bad name, b) selling drugs, c) convincing you to come in off the street to view strippers, d) toting a gun around on a US airbase.

Maybe this belongs on the "Engrish" website, but I saw a trash truck going past the the other day with "GOMI IS DREAM" emblazoned in large block letters on the rear section.

That's hilarious! You should carry around a digital camera everywhere you go, so you can snap pics of gems like that. (and post it here!)
