Here's a question for all you participant-observers and armchair cultural anthropologists: "Who is your favorite failed J-Pop superstar?"
((Mine: "Pink Lady & Jeff" sitcom))

I have this book where the one puffy girl is grabbing the other puffys boob - that's such an odd Japanese girl thing.

I saw an interview with them not long ago and they were just phoning it it, what's the Japanese name for jaded.

"Who is your favorite failed J-Pop superstar?"

Noriko (Aka Nori-P) Loved the Pink fluffy Alien Mascot!! Went to her concert and everything - it was so fluffy and bubblegummy.

Seriously, there was a girl band that put out just one album - called Cool as Ice. The lyrics were really bizarre so I don't know if they can be considered J-pop except that they were all very cute etc etc.

The song writer is a woman called "Neko" who has written a heap of famous songs - she also happens to drink at a bar I sometimes go to. Apart from this flop she has actually done really well for herself with a number of bands - mainly boy bands.

This happens all the time!! I have been felt up a heap of times by girls in bars - they just sort of grab when you are not looking. Of course it is a shock as at first you expect that it is a drunk guy coping a feel - but the surprise is greater when you realise it is a girl. Different social norm to what I am used to but it is a fairly common occurance here.

This happens all the time!!

Doesn't it just? It's almost like some kind of initiation rite or test...

Yes, this is true J-chicks in bars are constantly grabbing at my chest too! No, wait, it is the other way around.

But seriously, if you are going to get married to a J Gal rather than a J Guy it is probably best not to try the eloping thing unless her parents don't mind.

Better to get the buy in. Someday you may need it.
