Well, as someone departing for Japan for language study in a few months, someone recommended that I check here, and after reading some posts, I realize I can learn a lot, both before I leave Seattle and after I arrive in Kawagoe. 僕の日本語は大学三年段ですよ。 Anyway, it's nice to finally find a community of gaijin in Japan, I will be joining you soon.

Hm, I guess I'll put some content in here while I am bored.

A contestant in the recent Doukan Cup Tekken 4 tournament recieving his reward, a slap from Antonio Inoki, who is apparently on the top of the wrestling world (not that I would know him).

Welcome to the madhouse, soon-to-be-F*cked comrade!

That's what it's all about (too much free time). Nice avatar too.

Antonio Inoki, who is apparently on the top of the wrestling world (not that I would know him).

You know, he once ran for Governor of Tokyo. Sort of like a Japanese Jesse Ventura, but not quite. He dropped out of the race.

hm...kind of slow in here, isn't it? How long as this site been in place?

This site is brand new dude, be proud to be one of the founding members!

Hey Antonio Inoki or whatever has a very interesting history, he's been all over the place, I think he even held some position politically in Brazil at one point... He also writes 'poetry' and has a few books out. My Japanese friends tell me it's really funny stuff.

He also has a very large Chin.

I see. Anyway, yes, that man has a very large chin. He also seems to have given that 16-something kid quite a slap. It's hard for me to believe that is kosher in Japan, that parents don't complain.

I have a lot to learn about the place, which is why I am going! Hee hee...I can't wait.

It's not exactly [H]ard|Forum yet, but we're growing. The other thing is, you have to consider the time difference. People are posting from different sides of the planet.

Help spread the word! There's also a family friendly url, if you run into some nasty word filters:

Hm, I might just spread the word to the other people going with me on my program, at least. Some of my friends are shipping off to the JET program as well, gotta let them know.

Thanks, that sounds good. You might also want to look at our Web Links for a wide range of Japan resources. Specifically, you might be interested in these two sections, which include some sites by past and present JET participants:

My current plan is to use my university provided web space and a digital camera to keep a scrapbook of all the crazy stuff I see, and maybe submit some stuff to www.engrish.com. I also have friends who have done the program I am doing, but the problem is, they are all female, and thus undoubtedly didn't have exactly the same experience that I will.

Not particularly, though I don't think that's what my friends were concentrating on either. Oh, I should mention that I will be seeing again a girl that I dated when she was an exhange student at my school several years ago. It'll be nice to see a familiar face...

Let us know when your site is up and running, and I'll add a link, or you can add it yourself. I hope you share some of that "crazy stuff" with us too! (And I'm sure kamome would like to see a picture of your friend too.)

Btw, you can ignore miniG. I think he's talking about his own plans for tonight.

Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't know we were having a fucking touchy-feely moment here. Buncha cocksmokers.

You got that right, Mr. Witty.

You bet I do. Forget about mini-G--you should worry about me getting to her first. By the way, I lived in Saitama when I was on the JET program several years ago. Crispy, let me know if you have questions.

Wait a minute, here. People were posting pics of ex-girlfriends in another thread. Crispy, you can't hold out on us here. If you wanna be a true FG, you have to provide.

Sure I can hang with the big boys. The little boys, well, that's another issue. :P

All big stars do that... they start thinking that the fans are there to support them no matter what... then they go the way of Vanilla Ice: Ice Ice Baby... I Now Fight on Fox TV Baby... My 15 Minutes are over over baby...
