According to Japanese research firm Media Create, the company sold a paltry 4,300 Xboxes in Japan last week (http://www.cnn.com/2002/TECH/ptech/04/08/cut.xbox.price.idg/index.html) while PlayStation 2 sales exceeded 100,000 systems and Nintendo sold nearly 25,000 GameCube consoles.

...at least for an extra $200 I can turn my PS/2 into a Linux or FreeBSD computer. With X-Box I get a PC in an ugly case that doesn't give me any future expansion capabilities (unless someone figures a way around Microsoft's encryption schemes). :evil:
