Hey, I just tried adding a new link. It would be nice if I could add a new link from a particular section, and it would know that's where I'd like to add the link (similar to the forums).
Second, when will the authentication be merged between the forums and the main site? It'd be nice if added links wouldn't need approval if you're already a member.

Are you volunteering?
Actually, I think I tried to turn off link authentication before, but it didn't work. I'll have another look at it.
The only thing I really want to use right now on Postnuke is the Web Links feature. I've been eagerly awaiting phpBB portal development, but it's pretty much up in the air. I may try to cobble together something at some point, but I don't think it will ever involve authentication or any type of login on the Postnuke site. There are also some issues with the way my host has the main domain and sub-domain setup (very non-standard).
The most pressing thing is that I want to make the main site front page stories automatically mirror the F*cked News section.

I'm no PHP expert, so I don't know what help I could offer. I'm assuming that the data from the forum is stored in MySQL? Can't you just use the same widgets in the PostNuke portion of the site, sorting by date? :?

I just searched the Postnuke forums and google, but I guess no one has done this kind of mod. It's not a standard option as far as I can tell.
I've had another look at the code too, and I'll have to look at it longer to make sure I've got the security settings and permissions correct, without creating ignorant holes.
It seems like it should be a simple option, but I guess there's no demand for it. Anyway, it'll be a rainy day project.
