Radiohead, the Strokes, Travis, Puddle Of Mudd, Blur, Blink 182, and New Found Glory are scheduled to play Japan's Summer Sonic Festival (http://www.summersonic.com/), to be held Aug. 2-3 in Tokyo and Osaka. Other bands on the bill include Cheap Trick, Blondie, the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, the Doors, Placebo, the Datsuns, and Starsailor.
In other Japanese festival news, Bjork, Elvis Costello, Primal Scream, Iggy Pop, Zwan, and Steve Winwood are some of the artists confirmed to play the country's Fuji Rock Festival (http://www.smash-uk.com/frf03/lineup.html), set for July 25-27 in Nigata. According to the festival's official Web site (http://www.fujirockfestival.com/), Underworld, John Squire, Prefuse 73, and Mogwai will also perform at the Naeba Ski Resort.
