If you don't know what that is, you shouldn't be reading this.

I'm just a JapanNewbie, so maybe I'm wrong...

Porn. Pornography.

*bini... all the items on the list are conbini's... the japanese phrase for 'convience stores'. Hrm.... Convienece stores sell tea, onigiri, pan, and that's it! They sell nudie magazines!

PORN-BINI is a convience story that sells porno type mags! 8O

Hey, I wonder if anyone has actually bought porn through those leaflets that accumulate in your home mailbox on a daily basis. I've never done it, but porn junkmail is as prevalent in Japanese mailboxes as porn spam is in one's Yahoo inbox.

related to this discussion, came across this piece from Japan Update (http://japanupdate.com/) (Okinawan news in English site):

Rules to separate adult magazines not followed (http://japanupdate.com/previous/02/05/02/story8.shtml)

The survey shows that of 544 bookstores that sold adult magazines, only 60 percent had set up an "adults-only" area for them. The 24-hour convenience stores were the worst as none of them separated the adult magazines from the rest of the store. Most cited the shop's small size as the reason when questioned.

I like this part from the first graph of the story:
The Prefecture Education Board recently conducted a 2-month long comprehensive survey of the stores. A force of more than 500 officials conducted the survey visiting the shops without advance warning.
My italics added. Yeah I bet it was comprehensive. And what's more surprising, 500 (!) officials conducting the survey, or 544 places to get sukebe magazines. Sheesh, that's a whole lot of monkey spanking going on on Okinawa. Don't those guys get "shore leave"?

Not much else to do in Okinawa, except crack down on porn all day.
