Yokoso, you scruffy gaijin! This is an open community board for foreigners living in Japan and those less fortunate Japanophiles living elsewhere. If you like what you see, please spread the word.
If you come across any interesting or humorous Japan-related links in your net travels, feel free to post them in the F*cked News forum (http://www.fuckedgaijin.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=5).
Please let us know if anything doesn't seem to work right. Post all your forum issues in the Comments, Suggestions and Support forum (http://www.fuckedgaijin.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=3).
Absolutely no warez or otherwise illegal links or discussion will be permitted. Anything deemed against the rules by the whim of the Moderators is grounds for immediate account shut down, without notice.
Enjoy your stay!

It's about time someone came up with the idea to provide a community for f*ed gaijin--we need a place to share the fun of living/having lived in Japan and experiencing its quirks and idiosyncracies. Looking forward to seeing f*edgaijin.com when it comes online.

Thanks for the for the words of encouragement!
Do you have any thoughts on the current number of forum categories? Of course, we won't really get a feel for it until the board goes live, but do you think any categories are missing?

Maybe you should include a forum for dating/personal ads. Kind of like the Tokyo Classified personals section, but a live board. Or the board could just deal with topics related to dating in Japan, womens' issues, etc. Guaranteed--there are tons of f*ed gaijin who are into that. I could see a need to monitor that kind of forum a lot (harrassing language, picture postings, etc.), but with the proper preparation, it could be a popular destination for totally f*ed up gaijin.

I don't really think it would work in this open forum format. I forsee too many fake posts, trolling replies, harrassment, spam, etc. It doesn't really seem like a conducive environment for personals. Honestly, how many women do you know who would post a personal ad on a site with "f*cked" in the name?
Of course, if there is enough demand for it, we may consider options for creating a personals section on the main site at some point in the future.
Any other opinions?
kamome

Sorry to harp on the idea, but instead of personal ads, the forum could just be devoted to discussions about dating, R-rated recountings of experiences of that sort in Japan (and we know f*ed gaijin have had many), and other advice on the social scene. This would eliminate the harrassment, the pr0n, and the illegal stuff. And it would serve a valuable need for f*ed gaijin. Maybe it could be used as a tool to inform f*ed gaijin how not to be assholes while in Japan. How this overlaps with your objective for the "Hook Up" section, I'm not sure.
Thanks for the custom title, dude! Love it!

And be aware that there are alot of weirdos out there that have pretty strange ideas about Western Women. I mean can you blame them when you see how we appear on TV. in porn, etc.....?Some people still believe what they see on tv.
Also beware of the ones that expect you to clean their apartments, fold their jocks, and refill their rice bowls. They want the western chick with the kawaii subserviant Japanese chick on the inside.

This "fun place" only posts Buddha's pure TRUTH. We don't "rant"; only Box-loving heathens do that...... "Why do the heathen rage, (http://www.jesus-is-savior.com/Future/why_do_the_heathen_rage.htm) and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us" (Psalm 2:1-3). This Old Testament Scripture is quoted in the New Testament. "Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is: Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?" (Acts 4:24-25). Notice Acts 4:26, "The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ."

Relying on preconceived notions, in my opinion, denotes a certain amount of immaturity. Did I come here and start shit with you all? No, I believe that I simply extended a greeting to everyone here, in the hopes that you would be willing to accept me as a person, either living or interested in Japan. Apparently some of the members of this community are incapable of looking past their preconceptions. So I have gclang Tags before my handlec.I guess that makes me a 13 year old per-pubescent DICK HEAD, now doesnft it. Hi y'all!
I'm new here. I'm a Japanese who moved to the U.S. as a child and is now a U.S. citizen. I still speak Japanese perfectly. I joined up because I was interested in finding out how your experiences have been living in Japan, and compare them to my own expereince trying to adjust to living in the U.S. My father was transferred to the NYC office of his company, and that's where I grew up. I went to college in Iowa, and now, I live in sunny Southern California. Yoroshiku onegai shimasu! I'm originally from Sakai-shi, Osaka-fu.
Getting back to the topic of attraction to a person of a different race than your own, I think it's something inate in humans, and in all mammals. to desire to mate with someone slightly different from yourself. Animals produce better offspring when mating is done outside the immediate gene pool. And that's how species improve their "stock".
IMO, those who are a combination of the Caucasoid and Mongoloid races are very attractive and in most cases very very intelligent. So the laws of "hybrid vigor" apply to humans as well. One Oriental gal I knew once said "Dating an Asian guy is almost like dating your own brother."
However, I'd marry Yasuko Sawaguchi in a New York minute.

One or both of the following reasons maybe:
- if you're offended by this forum name, you don't belong here
- if you're a Gaijin in Japan you're fucked.
Funny, until now most discussions on the offensive nature of this forum's name have focussed on the word "Gaijin"

Why did you name this forum "Fukked Gaijin"?
Take the 12 Step to being a F'ed Gaijin...
Step1
We admitted we were powerless over Japan - that our lives had become unmanageable.
Step2
Came to believe that a power within ourselves could restore us to sanity, or not.
Step3
Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of Shinto gods as we understood them and bite the Big Buddha.
Step4
Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.
Step5
Admitted to ourselves and to other FGs the exact nature of our wrongs.
Step6
Were entirely ready to embrace all these defects of character.
Step7
Humbly ask of ourselves to ignore our shortcomings.
Step8
Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and blame Japan for all.
Step9
Made direct ACCOMMODATIONS wherever possible, except when to do so would injure us or others.
Step10
Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admit it.
Step11
Sought through meditation or medication to improve our conscious, or maybe not.
Step 12
Having had a spritual awakening as the result of these Steps, we try to carry this message to othe F'ed Gaijin, and to practice these principles in all our affairs, especially if she/he/it is cute.

Enjoying it or not any honest long-termer knows the only word that really sums up the gaijin situation is 'fucked'. But hell, the JPN aren't racists they bend everybody over! I mean the first time I hit Fucked Gaijin I knew this was the place for me. The name attracts people with the right frame of mind. The fact that we are gaijin ultimately and continue to choose to be demonstrates our affinity for Japan. 'Fucked' is the right word because it's the perfect negative counter to the Japanophile positivity that runs through all of us. Ying and Yang. Balance. We're fucking Zened-out, brothers and sisters, can you dig it? To me, if you can't handle the word 'fucked' you can't handle life in Japan. You gotta take it easy here. You gotta have a sense of humor. Every long-termer I ever met here is a total nut-case! I just let it show more than others. The first step to having wa is to look in the mirror, say to yourself 'I know I'm fucked.' And laugh about it. I could be back in American Suburbia with my friends from high school. Safe and sound in my own element. But I left home for experience. I've been hanging on. Sometimes life here is a piece of cake but sometimes Japan will hammer your foreign ass down.
Sorry about speaking for everyone here. And of course, Ultra, this is your house, so I can't really say why it's called what it's called. But that's how I feel about it. I'm proud to be 'fucked' if that makes any sense. Peace.

Fucked Gaijin isn't offensive to those who consider themselves FGs. If you find it offensive you just don't get it.
There are just as many possible meanings for FG as there are layers to the Japan experience. Read a few threads and get a feel for the varied range of opinions and experiences you can find here. Maybe you'll even learn a few things you didn't know.
In a way, "Fucked Gaijin" is a warning at the gate to keep out the squeamish, prissy whiners. To others, it's an invitation to have an open discussion without having your opinions or language censored* as they would be on 99% of the other "I love happy happy Japan" sites.
Maybe it's not the site for you, but please don't be another first-posting newbie wanker dishing out your list of 101 ways to fix the site (http://www.fuckedgaijin.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5109). If you don't like it, close the browser.

However, if the huge logo that screams "F'ed Gaijin" at your desk at work is a problem, go to the "Profile" , scroll down to "Board Style:' and select the "Blah" style. It's not about "not being into size." It's that large avatars screw up the formatting of the rest of the board, that's all. Pretty much anything goes with avatars here, just so long as they're not too big.
