Login probs

Just wondering.., I often have problems with the login. I will login and then
find at some stage i am no longer logged-in. Often i will write a reply,
preview it(and the preview shows my signature), but when i submit it
comes up as guest.
Am i doing something wrong??

I suspect you have some sort of cookie filter setup. Might want to look at your PRIVACY settings under IE (if you are indeed using IE)

Steve has you on the right track, but did you also select "automatically log me in" on the login page? :?:

Sorry about that. I'm not sure exactly what the problem is, but both cs and Steve have made good suggestions. The Forum does use cookies to keep track of your login state.

The only other thing I could add is that it does seem to run best under IE5.5 or 6. I personally had problems with IE5 that I never found a solution for on the development support forum. Opera 6 also seems to work well.

Thanks for the quick replies guys.
I am using IE ver 5.5. Have no cookie filter, though I think I may
have deleted them the other day before doing a defrag.
I will use the Auto login and check each time before submitting.
Probably just my own simple mindedness.

If you aren't using the auto-login, then that's the problem! When you close the last browser window, those "session-only" cookies are automatically flushed, and you are no longer logged in to F*cked Gaijin.
