.. all gaijin in Japanese commercials never look like anyone I've ever seen in real life? They all look like some new species of human our something. Or maybe even non-human.. Stepford Gaijin, perhaps?

Veering OT now, but...a friend of mine in LA once showed me a demo/audition tape of an American "actor" whose only experience was being the Random Gaijin in Japanese commercials. Needless to say, he was such an absolute non-actor that the tape went straight in the trash. It's amazing what some people get away with.

How about the "Pinky" mint commercials and the "Great Cocktails" commercials? Not only do the gaijin actors look fake, but their lines are totally stupid.

No, just turn on your TV. There are a few sites with Famous Gaijin commercials (though some have been shut down), but the lamest CMs with the self-imagined "actors" are not on any sites, because they just feature average Gutter Gaijin, who no one is interested in.

Actually, I was going to suggest that too. Either here or there, depending on bandwidth. Or maybe on TokyoDV (http://www.tokyodv.com). Although, I do think the appeal of lame unknown Gaijins on TV can only truly be appreciated by the more refined Fucked Gaijin among us.
