Back in the thread Steven Seagal Joins The Yakuza circa Nov. 30, I totally forgot about bad-mouthing Seagal about his Japanese ex-wife and kids.

Speaking of waruguchi/badmouthing the Seagals'...

Check out the famous Seagal movie, BLEEP BROTHERS most noted for the word "c**t" uttered dozens and dozens of times stars Kentaro Seagal the younger Bleep Brother, Tatsuo. The brothers form a duo, hoping to become the leading manzai comedy act in Japan...

It's was listed with Real Audio on the Car Talksite of NPR. No doubt, it's not a Seagal original] Lewis Grizzard, [/url]---who was the earliest quote I could find, Rod Stewart,Gary Shandling, but mostly Seagal.

A Movie Tough Guy Tells of a Shakedown That Wasn't Scripted
New York Times / Feb 11. 2003
Steven Seagal, the taciturn martial arts star known for shooting, beating and throwing people in movies, testified in court yesterday that he had been the victim of an old-fashioned mob shakedown in a dark Brooklyn restaurant.
...Clad in a chocolate-brown Mandarin silk jacket, dangly red bracelets, jeans and construction boots, Mr. Seagal struck a combative tone while testifying at the Mafia racketeering trial of Peter Gotti...he was "uncomfortable" and "increasingly uncomfortable" as the scheme that the government calls extortion unfolded. He did say he was licensed to carry a gun, and took one to the 2001 meeting with Mr. Ciccone. "In New York, I always carry a gun," he said.
....Mr. Seagal deflected many questions by declaring, "I don't recall," and "I have no idea." He suggested that as a celebrity, his command of details, like how much he has earned and the address of places where he has lived, was vague. He said he did not drive a car.
...Mr. Seagal, who said he was 50, sometimes appeared to be the tough character he often plays. But there were also telltale signs of reality. He needed reading glasses to study court exhibits. He carefully arranged two red shawls over his lap, evidently to warm his chilly knees.

Steven Seagal ex-manager to plead guilty over extortion chargesImage

Producer pleads guily to extortion
BBC News, UK - 14 Aug 2003
The former business partner of action film star Steven Seagal has pleaded guilty to charges he hired mafia members to extort money from the Hollywood actor. ...Mr Nasso and Mr Seagal formed a production company after meeting in Los Angeles in the 1980s. They worked on films such as Out for Justice and Deadly Ground.

Prosecutors had earlier said they had recordings of the mobsters laughing at how scared the actor was during their meeting.
"I wish we had a gun with us," one of the men had said. "That would have been funny."

Out for a Kill
digitallyOBSESSED, IL - 20 Aug 2003
... That's a promise.". How did Steven Seagal become a star? The man possesses
miniscule acting talent, speaks in an almost inaudible ... Out for a Kill (the title says it all) is a typical, uninspired revenge tale that operates under the assumption that stringing together a bunch of fight scenes constitutes a movie...
Perhaps the movie's most audacious move is in trying to pass off Seagal as a professor of archaeology! Okay, okay, it's true his character used to steal Chinese artifacts instead of preserve them, leading to a seven-year prison stint during which time he completed his doctorate, but it's still a stretch nonetheless. In between cracking the bones of his enemies, Seagal speaks with a Brando-like wheeze and in such an emotionless drone one might think he's about to flatline. But at least his hangdog presence shows ..
