Money Castle

A team at the local branch of the Bank of Japan has built this 1/70 scale replica of Matsumoto castle using old banknotes which have been taken out of circulation. The 5,000 and 10,000 yen notes used total around 100 million yen's worth. It may be an interesting idea but the overall effect is to produce the rather dull colour seen in these piggy banks. As replica castles go, this Himeji castle model still beats all.
