
Police on Friday arrested a 26-year-old J.League soccer player on suspicion of breaking into a university student's house in Kobe and stealing her underwear in September 2001. At the time of the alleged offense, the then 19-year-old belonged to a different team. The man--currently a hopeful for Japan's national squad--is suspected of breaking into the residence of the student in her 20s and stealing several undergarments. The same man was previously arrested in March 2006 on suspicion of trespassing after allegedly breaking into a female company employee's house in Kawasaki.
