Yep, me.

Does this "Blue Shamrock" car sticker mean the Japanese driver is handicapped by too much Irish whiskey?

In June of 2002, Japan adopted the shamrock symbol to designate of handicapped parking. The Japanese logic was the international symbol of a wheelchair did not encompass all forms of disability (heart conditions, stroke, being Irish, etc).

[floatl]Image[/floatl]Last week I just went in to renew my Japanese drivers license and an even more mysterious official car sticker confounded me during my license renewal lecture.
Does this sticker mean the driver has a brain full of butterflies?

The Japanese really have ways to not offend people.. that is, not offending their own citizens. If you are a gaijin, they don't give a rat's ass.

I wonder if we will be localizing this one into English any time soon? Somehow, I think not.

Shamrock for Disabled Parking.....

That's a classic....what was the logic here..? Irish are all spastic so everyone will instantly recognise this symbol....

That being a JAF truck, you would think, or hope, the driver would be a little more careful and skillful than the average driver.

Saw the similar sign today on the Yokosuka line, 4 seats were out of commish due to some brown dust/powder that looked suspiciously like termite dust. Or chemical-weapons grade dust. Who knows.
