Nekomushi (Great Band from Hiroshima)

Postby AssKissinger » Wed Jan 12, 2005 8:17 pm

There's a great band in Hiroshima called Nekomushi. Has anybody heard of them? They played at the Tsunami Benefit last Sunday and they really blew my mind. I think they very well may build a place along the Ruins and Melt Banana as one of the great Japanese bands. I hope to bring attention to this important new band as well as learn more about them. Here are some pictures I took at their last live show. The accordian player is shockingly beautiful.

Hippies, right?

Same breathe as RUINS is a big ask. Must be good. Still trying to comprehend what it was I saw when I saw RUINS play live. That was 10 years ago. Only 2 people? Nah.

This band's for real. I'll have to check out their recorded work before I make anymore Ruins claims BUT from what they do live I see it as possible. Four band members for this show including one gaijin. I took pictures of the other two but they weren't very good shots.
great band name to boot
