Send Your Love To Water

Guardian: Talk about bad science
Nobody is inviting me to any premieres for the US hit docudrama What the Bleep Do We Know!?...The film features the work of Dr Masaru Emoto... Emoto photographed molecules of water from the Fujiwara dam in Japan through a microscope...Then he had the water blessed: "When photographed, the water molecule had transformed into a beautiful snowflake shape." Nice. "[Jars of] water photographed after positive words such as 'love' and 'thank you' was [sic] taped to them overnight produced beautiful patterns...Those with words like 'you make me sick', 'war' or 'hate' attached, resulted in fractured, wild shapes."...But to me this tells a deeper story about alternative therapies: about intellectual laziness, and how self-centred we can be. After all, how indulgent do we have to be, to put humans at the centre of the universe, and say that if we bless water, then by our human aesthetics its shapes will become "more beautiful", that water will read whatever language we write?

Good stuff to trip to.

I've watched it at least 6 times in the last 5 months.

This guy is such a fraud. He calls himself a scientist, but he never explains how he obtains his photos, how the experiements are conducted or under what conditions. He is not published or peer reviewd. In other words, no other scientists have duplicated his experiments to back up his claims. Of course there is no way for other scientists to duplicate his experiments, even if they wanted to, because he doesn not provide details. That is not science. But, it's misleadingly presented as science in the movie What the Bleep and the new age crowd buys it hook, line and sinker.
