Japan's "new sexalopolis" springs up in Saitama
Perhaps you've never heard of Nishi-Kawaguchi. Across the Arakawa River two stops north of Akabane on the JR Keihin-Tohoku line, the bed town of Kawaguchi, Saitama Prefecture, has long been known for its thriving neon districts (there are several on opposite sides of the tracks) featuring sleazy soaplands and "pink salons" by the dozens.
