With all the talk about kakusa shakai (unequal society) in Japan right now, it surprises me that this interview hasn't been picked up and translated by the Japanese press. Perhaps it has and I just haven't noticed.

I liked best the part where she bestowed a gift of cosmetics on her housekeeper. She bought them at Boots (roughly equivalent to Matsumotokiyoshi) while also stopping at a couple of high end department stores to buy some brand name stuff for herself.

The first picture looks like she's flabbed out as a result of those all night champagne parties. I'm sure her personal fitness hanger-on will help her take care of that.
