NAM: Chinese Netizens Shred Zhang Ziyi for Revealing Japanese Ad
Internet users in China are criticizing actress Zhang Ziyi for appearing in a revealing advertisement for a magazine in Japan...Nationalism has been increasing on China’s Internet; the most recent news headlines about Japan’s abuse of "comfort women" during WWII caused more backlash against Zhang’s advertising appearance in Japan. Zhang appeared in an advertisement on a skyscraper. Only her upper body can be seen but her critics say that she appears to be semi-nude. Users on China’s popular internet portal, sina.com, say that like basketball star Yao Ming, Zhang should refuse to appear on advertisements in Japan.

The advert is part of Kao's Asian Beauties campaign. Her TV spot is on the site here or on YouTube.

Wow - this is the best propogando FOR China! Why are they so negative? You would have to look far and wide to find a comparable Japanese model - at least one with straight teeth anyway - so where to go? China and Korea.
