I saw that story on Kyodo Press a few days ago but the small photo they posted (see below) did not look like anything to me. The Kyodo said it was 30m tall so the orientation of the photo didn't help.

It's 18 meters tall...

I always thought a 60-foot robot wouldn't be nearly as big as it appears in the anime (at least when it comes to the proportion it usually has with the characters, which tend to make it look much larger), I guess I was wrong.

Actually, I think its pretty neat. I'd love to see one of those things really walking around one day.

Oh, Gundam always tells the girls it's, "30 meters when erect." However, the official specs of the RX-75 Guntank lists the it as only 15.6 meters so Fujikyu Highland is also boosting a bit.

Be sure to pay close attention to the rare view shown in the bottom photo of the torso's dual-ball, base-mounted cannon, the secret prototype large mega PLEASURE particle gun x1.*

Recently, I met this gal in the local watering hole and she NUTS about GUNDAM and she was showing me all these cell phone pics of her "correction" etc. etc. And well, as Jack would say, to make a long story short we ended up in a nearby love hotel about an hour later.
