French gaijin enraged by nazi Cosplay mania

Postby Buraku » Tue Aug 05, 2008 12:37 am

The Zainichi/Kankokujin also looks like he's going to explode

Of course the Japanese cosplayers act all like doey eyed puppies pretending to ignore the historical connotations of nazi symbolism

[yt]EorbpYIgarY[/yt]

Once again Kitano Takeshi hosts some idiotic program where they get nationalities of the world to act like a bunch of apes in a circus. These kinds of "tv programs" and his pervious involvement in survival/torture gameshows are probably why Kitano will never ever be recognized as serious actor/director outside of certain Japanophilia circles

That was hillarious. Those uniform wearing Japanese are raw meat thrown before hungry Jackal gaijin looking for a villain. It's too bad this show isn't around anymore.

Why did this smelly French pig need to get pissed off so much?
I wonder if Nazi succeeded to exterminate Jews perfectly, Arab–Israeli conflicts and 911 didn't happen. Or exterminating Jews was a long-long-term desire of Europeans, wasnt it? Nazi just tried to do it on behalf of all Europeans.

Takechanpoo, that's an interesting theory. I guess you think it was good for the U.S. to bomb Hiroshima because it prevented future conflicts involving Japan, right? The U.S. didn't finish the job, though. Would it be a good idea for the U.S. to bomb Japan more thoroughly, to prevent conflicts with Korea or China?

You might like to consider something closer to your home, like, what if a Jewish banker (Jacob Schiff) hadn't bankrolled Japan's participation in the Russo-Japanese War of 1905, when no one else would lend money to Japan?

If only this french gaijin's ancestors had been a little more outraged at the real nazis and done something about them. then my ancestors wouldn't have had to go defeat hitler for them.

Oh, I forgot, The Nazis and Imperial Japan were partners then, weren't they, Japan doesn't write much about the Axis Pact in that light now, do they......

In most places, history is written by the winner. But in Japan, it is written by the japanese..........

Military clothing and uniforms *are* cool. The J-dudes stated that they didn't care about the ideology or history of the armies whose uniforms they were donning, so I see no good reason to get angry. They weren't promoting anything.

Many Japanese seem to no longer care about history or ideology (which is quite understandable considering their own messed-up history), they just look at the fashion. Therefore, it's believable that these J-dudes didn't mean anything by dressing like that.

And by the way, the French should look at their own extremely bloody military record all over the world before portraying themselves as historical victims (brutal colonization of America and Africa? invasion of Mexico? Napoleon's little rampage across all of Europe?)

They were promoting something - by wearing the uniforms and by what they said. And perhaps you missed one of them give the Nazi salute at the end.

Ignorance and naivety are hardly badges to be worn with pride. There are people in the world, thankfully, who think that genocide is a serious issue. It is extremely insensitive to the victims' families, at the least, to just dismiss it like that, let alone to promote the perpetrators - even if you think they were "cool" dressers.

I really wish I was able to understand more of this. Mainly the German girl.

I was stunned to find out what they do, and don't teach in Japanese schools. I think the majority of Germans have realized how terrible nazi Germany was. Now if only Japan could come to the same conclusion about their mistakes. It's one thing to shit on the floor, but to pretend its not their and refuse to clean it up is another.

They are, in a way, victims since they have no record of ever winning a war or a battle except maybe the French Revolution.
