Tim Leffman's Christmas Lament

Postby kamome » Thu Dec 19, 2002 10:51 pm

Those familiar with the Tokyo night scene have probably heard Tim Leffman playing his guitar at one of the bars around the city.

He asks that this link be sent around to everyone. Take a listen.

Actually, I've heard Tim play few times, but not his story...

Who is the bloke with the big guitar ?
Tim ... makes his living in Tokyo mostly by playing live in various bars and venues. He also has done a great deal of work for various commercial agencies appearing in TV shows, music videos, singing in TV commercials, narration for English language projects and musical promotion work for festivals and events.
London born, London bred singer -songwriter now based in Tokyo. After turning professional in 1990 Tim has pursued a career which has taken him from England and the London pub circuit to appearances all over the world including long stays in France and Germany, as well as playing in America, Australia and New Zealand before reaching Japan.

I've talked to the guy a few times, but didn't know that stuff about him. Although it's not mentioned in your quote, he also makes money doing the ESL thing.

He calls himself "The Human Jukebox" and that is pretty accurate.

He is a really great guy, completely laid back and seems to know just what sort of song best suits a pub crowd.

Love ya work Tim!!
