Graffiti Gaijin Arrested In Osaka

Osaka police have apprehended a Hungarian national and a Slovak national on suspicion of being part of a group responsible for spraying graffiti on a number of railway cars in around six separate incidents. In particular, the two men are accused of breaking into the Midosuji line at Shin Osaka Station in early September and tagging two cars (pictured above). Police say they found around thirty spray cans in lodgings the two were using in Nishinari ward. An Asahi report says that one of the men has denied any involvement. Police believe that a third man was also involved and that the group intended to leave the country next week. The authorities are now trying to retrace their movements to connect them with other incidents around the country. The group is thought to be part of a group of graffiti artists who travel around the world to leave their mark on city transport networks. (Asahi report here)

If they were actually creating artwork, I might have some sympathy for them. But just tagging your name all over everything? Fuck 'em.

I have seen the GLK one before. I don't remember where tho. Too bad they couldn't work some other art in to those pieces, they aren't bad and to think that this pic had to be done in under 4 hours without anyone noticing. My question is how do they travel the world to do this, what do they do for work?

Pieces like that can be done very fast. They are nothing special. I have known several people who travelled around vandalizing the world when I was younger. They would usually either earn money painting legal graffiti or just have shit jobs. One of them, a world famous graffiti writer (he was also in Japan to paint, btw), still lived with his mum when he was in his early thirties. Sorry, it is a lifestyle for losers.

I do enjoy some graffiti, but once you reach a certain age, it becomes ridiculous going around ruining other people's or public property. In the end you are hurting other people, because they have to pay for it. So even though I do appreciate good graffiti, I prefer it to be done somewhere legal. These people need to grow up, going around doing stuff like that when you are in your mid-twenties...

For normal people, that age is around 5.

The two men were given prison sentences of two and a half years, suspended for five years.

So now they basically leave Japan and aren't welcome back, correct? Pretty lucky if this is the case...
And you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

The cunts got off lightly. I would'a made 'em share a cell with T-Bag from Prison Break for a couple of months. Let him create "art" on their artistic little anuses.
