Based on a quick google search, Adderall is quite illegal in Japan. It contains amphetamines. Amphetamines are illegal here, even if they were obtained legally and with a doctor's prescription in another country. If you bring it in to the country, one of three things will happen:
- You get lucky and they don't ask you and don't inspect your bag.
- Your medicine gets confiscated.
- You get thrown in the holding cell for a little while, followed by deportation.
I wouldn't bring it. On the other hand, you might want to ask Cyka about my track record for giving advice in the past

Even had the customs clown pick up a box one day look at it, read the label and put it back in my bag. Now that's my experience with codeine based stuff......

canman wrote:I just came back with a bottle of Nyquil in my suitcase, which I heard is banned in Japan, but I didn't have any problems coming into the country with it. I was told that on the US embassy homepage they state that Nyquil is not allowed in Japan, and be very careful bringing it into the country.
canman wrote:No my son came back early so I was by myself, but still no problems. Truth be told, I don't think I've ever been stopped and checked when returning to Japan.
I think I've had NyQuil shipped here before.. Can't remember; in a daze.canman wrote:I just came back with a bottle of Nyquil in my suitcase, which I heard is banned in Japan...
similar info atYou can bring up to one month's supply of prescription drugs into Japan, and up to two month's supply of non-prescription drugs without completing any paperwork. This same rule applies to mailing prescription and/or non-prescription drugs.
It is always a good idea to have a copy of the prescription and/or letter from the prescribing physician explaining the nature of the medication, the purpose of taking it, recommended dosage, and frequency of ingestion.
Most prescription drugs are permitted, including drugs that may not be available in Japan, such as birth control pills. Drugs that are hallucinogenic, narcotic, and/or psychotropic in nature will be confiscated, except in extenuating circumstances where prior approval has been obtained (e.g., a cancer patient taking a type of medication that has a high percentage of pain killer; these cases are treated on a case by case basis).
The following over-the-counter medications are prohibited in Japan since they contain narcotic or stimulant ingredients in excess of the Japanese standard:

Not that I know...
Just remember to read the ingredients kiddies.
Oh, on the JIKININ pack it does say to not drink and drive...
