Idol and actress Noriko Sakai's husband, pro surfer Yuichi Takaso, was searched by police on the streets of Dogenzaka, Shibuya, and caught in possession of illegal substances. On top of that, Sakai's relatives have now reported her as missing (Japanese).

Sakurai Noriko is part of the usual Japanese nakadashi "in" crowd (aka dekikon), according to her bio (slightly better page in Japanese and with a little more detail).

The media is way exaggerating, as usual, about her "disappearance." I am betting five bucks that she is taking the time off with her kids at her parents' house and away from the attention for a few days until it cools down. Then she will issue the usual gomennasai press statement with a few sob sob crocodile tears for the inconvenience caused for not telling the world her exact whereabouts and for what kind of a loser her husband is for getting caught with drugs. At least she'll get some media sympathy and some TV airplay in a few months from now (Kusanagi kun...).

Maybe this Takaso was a local champion surfer in Chiba but I've certainly never heard of him in the international scene but the main point here is that he got busted with drugs. Big woop. It's not like he killed a hooker by overdosing and tried to cover it up like Oshio Manabe, which is more interesting at the moment.

Her "missing" status is now changed to an arrest warrant. The arrest warrent for Sakai is out for the posession of drugs. She is really fucked now.

I wonder if she killed herself already in Yamanashi. Now that would be the ultimate finale to end this awesome drama.

If she is found and alive, she would most likely be banned from appearing on Japanese TV. She would have to learn Chinese and become a tarento in China or Taiwan, where she is semi big and popular there.

No, that won't work. Refer to my conspiracy theories above. The substances will stay in your blood stream for a while. Even if she got them out, there will be traces in her hair unless she shaves it ALL off (including down there).

Her only options left is to remain in hiding for until she gets caught.. or turn herself to the police and face the consequences.. or die in the woods somewhere and never be found. Either way, she is fucked. Good bye NoRIP.

As far as I know, it's not against the law to fail a drug test in Japan. If she was smart, she made sure there was no contraband in her place before she went incognito. According to the news, she and her husband were living seperately and he told the cops she was using too when he got arrested. What a fucking scumbag.
