book shopping advice please... ^^

hey , wifey said shed get any books i want for me bday this year, thats been and gone as i couldnt decide what to get.. do any of you have any opinions on these? would like to know what is worth getting and if theres any howlers here i should stay away from.. will get from amazon as the streets are ice rinks once more...

About kanji dictionaries, i m a big fan of the New Nelson. The small one is enough to keep you busy for a long time. Really inteligent classification, user friendly, sturdy. The best i ve tried so far.
