.... the malodorous fumes wafting through Nihonbashi Station on the Tozai Line may have got at least hearts fluttering and certainly made the eyes water. .... last weekend in light of the recent opening of the Coredo Nihonbashi department store.Customers using the station, however, were greeted by a putrid pong. Some subway patrons were seen racing away from the platforms with their faces covered to ward off the foul odor.
"The reek was especially putrid whenever a train pulled in to the platform,"
