Wiki might help you with Reiki:dimwit wrote:I guess my question is: is this some new age mush largely an imagining of some North American, or does it have any roots in Japan?

Man you must really love plants and everything about them. All your posts have something to do with it.
Yes, you can Reiki your car! One trip to Mt. Shasta I swear the only way we made it to the top was sending Reiki through the gearshift and dashbord into the car. Many people use Reiki on their food before eating. And much more.
I was reading a story in a Canadian newspaper

Anyone know of reiki practioners in Tokyo?

Where did I hear that before...

No you don't even put your hands on their body. You just hold them above the body part you're apply the ju-ju too.

hands do get placed on the body, but very lightly and there's no movement.
found one in nakano, whether it's ju-ju or not, it definitely did something. the only way i can describe it is 'weird', but i guess that's normal for the first session.

Having had at least 3 or 4 ex-GFs and or Bonk Buddies go Full Reiki, and allowing that Reiki is probably the gayest of all those new age Japanese gay girly health things (even all that massage and Esthe crap does something tangible), there is another rather well researched factor you might not have fully considered Dr. McCoy............but the gay girly explained herself better so I'll leave you guessing.
Glad it worked, CUJ, and good on ya for keeping an open mind. It's really only a loss when it doesn't. Well, except for anything to do with Soka Gakkai. That shit's just too goofy.
