I was told that this is supposed to be mandatory now, to insure the visa/registration is up-to-date because of the wider use of the Driver's license as a form of identification. Don't know if that is true, or just a come-on, but it would seem logical and also make more sense than a lot of their policies.

Hey, they're not undershorts! They're Rising Sun bathers (swimsuit? for non-Aussies). They sold them at K-mart for $A20. I would have paid 10 times that for them. I'm gonna have a great time wearing them at the beach this summer, the Japanese will freak out!
