Doesn't that pretty much prove his point?

To prove his point, I'd have to be assuming something is obviously the best "because made in the USA." Certainly not the case.

I'm not talking about you I'm talking about the average American.

Not so sure "made in the USA" carries the same weight it used to among the average American but yeah, there are plenty of ignorant fucks that don't realize it often means made by Mexicans...in a sweatshop that's in the US.

Probably not...but other than the potential tax savings, I don't see the incentive in the "Made in the USA" tags on most of the crap that comes out of there.

A ready market in the Nascar-Springsteen fan demographic who wouldn't buy something made "goodness knows where." There is a lot of nationalism in consumerism, everywhere, not just in Japan. Of course, it only has an effect within the USA but the effect there is large enough to pay the airfares for the Chinese seamstresses and build razorwire surrounded barracks to lock them in.

Feeling I get here in LA is `everything is made in China` and nobody seems to care anymore. Nascarville definitely cares more but even still, plenty of that junk is made in China as well.
