I have been following several rss seeds including FG, and usually i enjoyed reading the forum. So why shouldnt i get involved?
Most of you may be gaijins and f**ed actually. But i am worse: i am Turkish, speaking English plus trying to learn Japanese without any proper help and purpose. Even my wife couldnt understand why i am trying to learn japanese, however she is my wife so she is supposed to support me unconditionally or something like that.
So i'll be around from now on.

Screwed-down Hairdo wrote:Actually, toruko is one my favorite activities in Japan!
And I really do love Turkey. Has to be one of the greatest countries on Earth (except when you slaughtered all our young soldiers at Gallipoli )
memow wrote:Do you mean torukoburo, turkish-bath. I've never been to a turkish-bath before . Or else what is a toruko activity
memow wrote:I am not sure if the Turkey is one of the greatest countries. It doesnt seem so great nowadays, yet i love living here, home anyway. But slaughter was a bit harsh, it was a war after all. Some armies came to invade, and ours resisted (and won eventually). Young or not, so many people died from both sides at war unfortunately. Best is not to battle. Youngster are to stay at home, hang out with friends, love and learn, drink, chase chicks etc. (i sound sooooo old:))
Also i know an anectode about this gallipoli war. I may tell some other time.
Screwed-down Hairdo wrote:I do indeed. But the Japanese have a different interpretation of what a toruko-buro is compared to the real thing. I really can't explain without, perhaps, offending Islamic sensibilities.
Turkey is certainly great, even if not a world power. Your people are tremendous....As for Gallipoli, it formed a wonderful friendship between our two countries and a bond that will never be broken, which means "all's well that ends well" in my book.

Look forward to some intellectual jousting and a little banter.
