He is only 5 years old and still in preschool, but Daichi Horiguchi already plays music by Vivaldi, Bach, Beethoven and Seitz on his pint-size violin - by ear.
"It's all in his head," said Anita Blumenfeld, who attended Saturday's Luden Music Symposium, a quarterly recital for young musicians that takes place in the Torrance home of Audely Nordsworthy.
It was there that Daichi, of Manhattan Beach, dazzled the small audience with his memory, technique and a self-possessed and precocious performance.
