Ningen Dock Data

Postby Mulboyne » Sun Aug 28, 2011 10:57 pm

[floatr]Image[/floatr]The Japan Society of Ningen Dock has looked at the results of 3,080,000 health checks in 2010. 8.4% received a completely clean bill of health which is the lowest percentage recorded. The society started analyzing nationwide data in 1984 when the same figure was as high as 29.8%. It has been declining steadily every year since. By gender, 7.3% of men were healthy against 10.2% women. By age, 17.7% of under 40s were healthy and this figure falls to 3.7% for over 60s. As that last classification indicates, demographics explain a good part of why clean bill ratio has been falling. As the population ages, there are fewer younger Japanese to offset the wear and tear appearing in older generations. It's also the reason Okinawans, who have a reputation for longevity, score worst in the country on this count. Their 5.5% clean bill compares with a high of 13.3% in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions.

I've spoken with one of the authors of The Okinawa Diet on many occasions, and while I think he's a good storyteller, I can't agree with many of the conclusions of their book.
As far as health and longevity goes around here, it's more historical artifact than anything else.

Fuck those bastards and their barium meals. I gave some of my finest claret, freshest hop tinged yellow stream and some choice chocolate nuggets and they gave me fucking barium. Only thing that comes close to that is German bread, like eating a brick. Anyway I don't have stomach cancer so we'll call it a draw this year. Pricks.

At least now, with the barium cocktails, they will excuse a 'burp' after you drink it. In the old days of the annual health check up, if you burped, barfed, or coughed, they would make you drink another cup of the classic brew. More, and more untl you could get on the stupid revolving trolly without a burp! My record was six cups before I made it on to the dolly. Shit snow white turds for a week afterwards!
