A few months ago, I spoke to some art students, and we talked about the internet and its effects. It appears that the cool thing now for arty kids in their early 20s is to go offline. A lot of people would like to know the truth of his visa situation for future reference. Is there a full, believable account of what happened?
Any mention regarding whether he's giving back that $5700, as he said he would?

Jokes aside, from what I've seen, it looks like the only useful bit of info from the whole saga is:
"You can get out of being deported for overstaying and working illegally IF a Japanese citizen will marry you while you're in jail"
That's cool if you can manage, I guess. Doesn't help most people.
