Whoever handles the billing gets to charge the vendor for the service, up until now this has been credit card companies. It's a bit like McDonald's really being in the real estate business.

I think that might be an option as well but it functions like SUICA/PASMO/ETC in that you "charge" it and have that reciept....but can use it for anything. Used to be only 7-11 but seen it everywhere from gas stations to Denny's recently.

Right but the reason Suica and Pasmo work is people just claim it as a transportation expense when they're actually charging a lot of other stuff on there. I doubt if you got audited it would pass the sniff test but it doesn't raise red flags as long as you have a business that would theoretically involve lots of travel. I'm assuming there's detailed electronic records of what kind of purchases you've actually made which is why I think it could get ugly in an audit but maybe not.
