０の上にＴＫの文字を載せる案。ＫとＹに「ようこそ」という意味を持たせた案。エンブレムそのものを国旗にした案。Ｔを大きく型取り、幟（のぼり）のように仕立てた案。五輪の原点に戻るべく、ギリシャ文字で「２」を表現した案。そして「一番研ぎ澄まされたアイデアはこれだ」と言って示したのは「１」と「０」だけからなるとてもシンプルなもの。「１と０はコンピューターの世界の２進法なら２になる。数字が２重になっているのは２０、２０と繰り返す意味」と説明した。「アイデアは止まらず、５０案ぐらい浮かんだ」という。
