This is a very weird case. The victim's female friend was obsessed and made a fake online profile pretending to be a man and started up a relationship with her. When they met in person the friend claimed be be very self conscious due to some scarring and insisted the victim be blindfolded. The victim agreed and even had sex with her 10 times before figuring it out.

If the basis of the harsh sentence was the fraud element, then sure, yeah. It reminds me of the charge that Lord Wikleaks is under: sex by misprepresentation. The problem is the judge seems like a twat, and is hardly uniform in his punishment of sex offenders (he gave half that for a guy that was a 13 yr old teeny fecker). As for fooling the poor girl that got it, most pics of the accused show she could easily man up, and seems to have Man Hands. What she did was creepy enough that she desrves almost anything a judge will throw at her, and the militant panty liners are not going to help their cause defending her the way they are. How they can even pretend this is a gender identity issue shocks even my reduced disbelief of their constant pantywetting. My gender is Japanese, but I don't expect everybody to know that offhand.

I guess the question is where do you draw the line? This is obviously an extreme case so it's easier to say she deserves jail time. But what a about a pre-op transsexual? How about post op? What about an eikaiwa teacher who tells a gold digger he meets in Roppongi he works up the street a Barclays?
