Safe containing 120 mil. stolen from exec's home
A 90-kilogram safe containing 120 million yen in cash was stolen from the home of a company executive during early hours of Sunday, police said.

Detectives rushed to Abe's home in Fujinomiya, Shizuoka Prefecture, to find the 70 by 50 centimeters safe missing from the reception room.

Okay kids, rule number one when storing money outside of an insured institution:
Rule #1 If you use a safe, make it a VERY BIG safe. 250-500 kilograms minimum.

Personally, I thought the "uncut diamonds on the bottom of a fish tank" in "Out of Sight" was pretty cool.

Rule number 2:
Rule #2 Install the safe beneath surface level of the building structure. This makes "blowing the safe" dangerous, because the structure could come crashing down on the theives. It also requires an industrial device of some sort to extract the heavy safe (see rule 1) from the building

What a moron. A million dollars in cash in a safe less than 3 feet in width/height?
