Why doesn't the government pass some copulation laws.. sex under supervision 1 time per week, or incure tax penalties to support a test tube baby farm.

The government could use the farm, like a fish farm. They could restock the population with baby after baby raised by the state, then sent out into the workforce to pay taxes. It would boost the population indeed.

I say why not? Ethics and morals aside, this seems like a viable plan. It would cost money upfront, but in the longterm, it might help save Japan from extinction.

They could even setup mandatory sperm and egg donation centers like they do with gomi.

I could just read the signs now:

(1) take cup,
(2) produce Sperm (don't spill any)

(4) return cup to machine

Speaking as an unmarried (early) 30-something chick, some people can be quite harsh... especially the smug newly married types and my mother (but that is a whole other story)

But this is not limited to Japan.. this is all over the world. I have many girlfriends who are also single 30 somethings and they have the same sad tales to tell..

"Oh you are so nice/pretty/smart etc.. why aren't you married???"

Oh totally. That comment was only tongue in cheek. Lots of gaijin English teachers come over here and start doing all kinds of stupid shit they wouldn't do back home. It's like a disease. Dr. Randall J. Smith, 50, told the woman that massaging her "trigger points" would ease her pelvic pain. The treatments led to sexual intercourse and Smith billed the Oregon Health Plan for the 45-minute sessions at the Adventist Health Medical Group clinic in Gresham, Oregon, near Portland.


Smith must also perform 200 hours of community service and pay $1,105 in fines and is on probation for 18 months as part of the plea agreement. He also turned in his medical license.


Though he pleaded guilty to submitting false health care claims, a felony, Smith maintained the sex with the 47-year-old woman was consensual.


Adventist repaid about $5,000 to the state, David Russell, clinic administrator for the hospital said.
