Nothing to do in Tokyo on Thursday? Try the New Japan CatFight League's "Battle Panic" at Shibuya's Rock West. Doors open 3:00pm, the fights start at 4:00pm. Apparently, there is a party afterwards which anyone can join.

I saw an event (Jail League) that had "battles" mentioned and thought it was a battle of the bands in Ikebukuro a couple of months ago. Rock up to Club Chop, pay me way through for the event and discover it's bands interspersed with amateur wrestling "battles".... plus a catfight (so I'm illiterate). None of this ridiculous US-style diva parades, those cats were going at it like they meant it. Personally I found the bands there the best part of the night - thrash, hard rock, border metal. That, and the nomihodai option on the ticket. But the cats and wrestlers weren't bad.
