There is also a rumor of a new Clie model that transcends anything offered before by Sony. Reportedly, it will have an internal miniature 5 GB harddrive, similar to the one in Apple's iPod. Its cradle will have a video port on it that will allow the device to record digital video in MPEG4 format onto this harddrive.

It's built-in 300,000 pixel camera can record video at 30 fps and play back at 320 by 240 pixels

There have been a lot of questions raised in various threads about the beta, what's possible and what's not. I'd like to stop by here and tell everyone who's interested about what's going on and also what we've found. This should help answer a lot of the questions that have been raised about the beta and also quell some of the rumors.

Cards:
We have a wide range of cards in the beta program and overall it appears that most of them are being recognized (although some not perfectly) and are able to be read. Specifically beta testers report that they can read off IBM Microdrives (1 gig) and CF cards at up to 1 gig thus far.
