Crisscross: New City Corp launches online apartment search service in English
Real estate merchant bank New City Corporation announced Tuesday that in addition to its Japanese-language online apartment search service introduced in April 2006, the company has launched an English version of its search tool that enables users to search for rental properties online and is also the first English-language search-by-map site in partnership with Oracle Japan and Brycen Co, Ltd. The search service was introduced in order to provide customers with an easy-to-use and efficient method of locating desired properties in Japan's vast and extensive real estate market, the company said in a statement.
The online apartment search tool allows users to scroll through area maps in search of prospective properties or rely on more advanced searches led by a variety of conditions that may be set by the user, such as price range, parking costs and availability, proximity to railway stations, preferred building layout, and exclusively-owned areas, among a number of other options.
The innovative map feature allows customers to search for properties on a map that offers a three-level zoom function. The system is able to pinpoint the exact locations of properties from a base map of the entire country (with exception to some of Japan's remote island regions). As a result, customers are able to quickly scroll through a map of a desired area and locate potential properties in real time.
