Foreign start-ups, med care sector -- JETRO seminar

some JETRO PR flack wrote:JETRO Issues Invitation to Attend "ACCESS TO SUCCESS - Doing Business in KOBE" Seminar on Kobe's Forign {sic} Investment Environment to be Held November 18 in Tokyo
Tokyo, Japan, Oct 14, 2005 - (JCN Newswire) KOBE is currently promoting several enterprising projects. One such project is the "Kobe Medical Industry Development Project," which is designed to create a basis for R&D in the advanced medical care sector, as well as to attract more health care businesses...
....To help promote KOBE as a cosmopolitan city with a highly attractive business environment for foreign companies, the seminar "ACCESS TO SUCCESS - Doing Business in KOBE," co-hosted by JETRO KOBE and Hyogo Economic Development Center, will be held this November 18th...this free seminar, but pre-registration is appreciated. If you would like to attend, please download the application form and fax it to the number provided by October 31 (Mon.).
Date: November 18 (Fri.), 2005 14:00 - 16:30
Venue: JETRO Headquaters, Tokyo (5th floor Conference Room) Ark Mori Building...more...

Ok, ok, stop groaning---Yes JETRO is the gang-that-can't-shoot-straight. However, if you have a good 20-50 page business plan but no money, JETRO can help. It's free advice and if treated as such JETRO is ok as a supplemental start for a gaijin trying to form company---in this case in the medical care sector.

Two warnings: 1. JETRO's legal advice sometimes is outdated (like their employees), and 2. You must give JETRO a bullet-point list on paper of your ideas so they can understand your needs. Without a solid business plan and Sesame-Street style presentation, JETRO will neither understand what want them to do nor will they do any undefined work for you.
