I've actually read some other things recently about how things like simulated child pr0n might be a way for some pedos to keep themselves in check but in a lot of countries even that's illegal. One thing that's fucked up in the US is that if someone has those urges and goes to a psychologist for help, the doctor has to report them so even the people that have enough sense to get help are afraid to seek any.

I've often heard prostitution is what keeps rapists in check but then you get the dudes who end up raping/murdering the prostitutes. (more of a power issue than just sexual addiction) It might help but there are always those mentalcases that no amount of help will stop. I doubt simulated shit like this will keep anyone from going off the deep end. Psychological therapy is their only hope and even then, some people are just beyond help. (and yeah, it's fucked that they need to worry about being reported if all it is at that point is urges and they obviously aren't happy about it)
