Yeah, I was wondering about that myself. The screen cap from an "official" trailer was from some kind of major film site like RottenTomatos (sorry I lost the URL). The trailer consisted of music from the official new soundtrack, a long zoom to the GODZILLA (2012) logo/poster, couple of lurky, micosecond flashes of Goji action and a fadeout of the logo/poster.
Considering that Youtube has dozens of fake trailers for Godzilla (2014) because the production company refuses to release the official trailer (except for the single showing at ComicCon), I suppose I was deceived by the film site and that screen cap was a clip from the reviled 1998 version.MAN IN SUIT! Japanese fans deem the new Godzilla too fat, in continued sizeism toward giant monsters
AV Club | May 1, 2014
While many assumed that the delayed reveal of Godzilla in the new, Americanized Godzilla trailers was just a clever marketing strategy, designed to keep you in suspense as to whether this Godzilla movie might have Godzilla in it, there may have been another explanation for the monster’s reticence. He’s just ashamed at how fat he’s gotten---a weight gain that was singled out, then immediately ridiculed by the Japanese as part of that culture’s long history of criticizing American waistlines

A cinema in Taiwan didn’t receive any posters for the new Godzilla movie on day of release, so they quickly drew one.

After the massive success of the 2014 ‘Godzilla’ reboot, a sequel was inevitable. The follow-up film was announced at Comic-Con on July 26 and a trio of monsters was revealed!
Godzilla shall return — in the form of a sequel! The highly-anticipated second installment about the classic monster was given an official go at Comic-Con on July 26. So, who will be terrorizing the world this time around? Godzilla better get ready because Rodan, Mothra and Ghidorah will all be ready to fight.
