Hayao Miyazaki, the legendary Japanese animator who directed the laboriously hand-drawn "Spirited Away," did not attend the Academy Award ceremony,

Too cool! Miyazaki is the BUDDHA! :P
But somehow I think he was just being pavid about flying which is as silly as the wimpy MLB cancelingits Japanese baseball games.
