NY Post / March 31, 2003 -- TORONTO - Prodding their fans to boo Hideki Matsui and dumping on the Yankees' hat.
Blue Jays paid for an advertisement in yesterday's Toronto Star that encouraged customers to boo Hideki Matsui tonight when the Yankees open the season at SkyDome. The ad also showed a Yankee hat with bird droppings running down the side of the most revered lid in sports.
...the ad that had Japanese lettering on top that when translated read, "Let's boo Hideki Matsui." Underneath that in English the ad read, "Boo Matsui."
