A Phoenix band so loves video games that they only play covers of Nintendo game songs. From member station KJZZ in Phoenix, Rene Gutel reports on the surprisingly snappy songs of the Minibosses.

That's nothing.
You haven't seen the Commodore 64 game music revival band!

If anyone remembers that popular club track Zombie Nation by Kernkraft back a few years ago.... you'll be pleased to know that the ditty was lifted almost verbatim from a C64 game called "Lazy jones" (which also had loads of other cool dittys)

You can't get anymore geeky than that!

The Minibosses kick ass, and the fact that they actually perform this stuff live makes them that much cooler. Their renditions of the original Metroid and Contra games are aural bliss!
