Tarento Kunihiko Matsumura collapsed with heart trouble while taking part in the marathon for TV. Reports say he has since recovered conscious.

I was watching some program on TV last night where all the panel ran in the marathon. A couple of them were actually not allowed to run in the end (I think Konishiki was one of them). I'm surprised they let this guy run considering it was probably for a show.

He's kind of an ijimerareru character. I heard once that he was trying to lose weight but was told that he would lose work if he did. Poor guy.

That news picture of Matsumura is a little misleading. He had lost weight before he took up running marathons as this picture of him setting off in Tokyo shows:
